Wilhelm Laslop (born October 3, 1948 ) is a former German football player who was active between 1969 and 1977 for FC Vorwärts Berlin and FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR football .

Athletic career

Wilhelm Laslop came to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt through the company sports association (BSG) in the Thuringian town of Gründedt and BSG Motor Sömmerda . In 1966 he was accepted into the squad of the GDR junior national team, with which he played a few test matches. In 1967 he became GDR junior champion with the juniors of FC Rot-Weiß. After a short stopover at the Army Sports Association in Eberswalde , Laslop was delegated to the central club of the Army Sports Association Vorwärts , FC Vorwärts Berlin , after the 1967/68 season ended . This first put Laslop in 1968/69 in the second team playing in the third class district league . With her he rose to the GDR league at the end of the season . Although nominated for the 1969/70 season for the 2nd team, he played only nine point games there, but was used in 17 league games and in two European Cup games. In the next two league seasons Laslop was able to maintain his regular place in defense, he only missed five point games. In the 1974/75 season he fell out of the regular cast. He was only used twice as a substitute in the second half of the season, and he also played seven GDR league games with the 2nd team. Even after that he did not really find the connection, both in 1975/76 and 1976/77 he was called up irregularly in 13 league games. With the beginning of the 1977/78 season, Laslop returned to Sömmerda, where his former BSG now took over as Zentronik later as Robotron Sömmerda. For two seasons he played with Sömmerda in the GDR league, where he missed only two point games and scored nine or two goals. Between 1979 and 1983 he had to play in the district league after relegation with BSG Robotron. In 1983 the team rose again to the GDR league, and Laslop was still a regular player there with 20 league matches. At the beginning of the 1984/85 season he was already 35 years old. After a league reform had to be played 34 games, of which Laslop played eleven games. Since Robotron Sömmerda then relegated again, Wilhelm Laslop ended his career as a professional footballer in the summer of 1985. In his twelve seasons in higher-class football, he had come to 98 league games with three goals and 105 GDR league games with 23 goals.
