Wilhelm Loos (politician)

Wilhelm Loos (born March 20, 1885 in Udenheim , † December 14, 1948 in Heppenheim ) was a Hessian politician ( DDP ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

family

Wilhelm Loos was the son of the innkeeper and farmer Lorenz Loos and his wife Karoline nee Steitz. His first marriage was to Frida, née Schmidt, and his second marriage to Maria Charlotte, née Darmstädter.

education and profession

Wilhelm Loos was a seminarian in Alzey between 1901 and 1904 and from 1904 worked as a teacher in Darmstadt , Darmstadt-Eberstadt and Babenhausen . From 1919 to 1922 he was head of the Reich Central Office for Homeland Service / State Department Hesse. In 1920 he was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and a residence ban by the French military judiciary. He fled the French-occupied bridgehead to Giessen , where he became rector in 1922. In 1929 he became a district school councilor in the Groß-Gerau district . After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was retired. From 1945 to 1948 he was again a district school councilor in Heppenheim and from 1948 worked as a consultant in the Hessian Ministry of Culture .

Wilhelm Loos moved on April 1, 1919 for Prof. Dr. Samuel Eck (DDP) in the state parliament and belonged to it until the end of the 1921 electoral term.
