Wilhelm Niemeyer (born August 23, 1912 in Homberg , Niederrhein , † January 11, 1977 in Rheinbreitbach ) was a German writer and translator .

Life

Wilhelm Niemeyer was a lecturer at a college of education . He also wrote books for children and young people , poems and radio plays and translated from Dutch and Afrikaans into German . Miep Diekmann's book for young people, "And many greetings from Wancho", which he translated , was awarded the German Youth Book Prize in 1964.
