Wilhelm Reichmann

Wilhelm Reichmann (born September 4, 1920 in Dorndorf ; † November 30, 2016 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German surgeon.

Life

Reichmann attended elementary and high school in Vacha . After graduating from high school, he did Reich Labor Service . Then he was drafted into the army (Wehrmacht) . Since he had registered to study medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena , he came to the army student company "Jena". In 1940 he became a member of the SC comradeship "Saaleck". It was also worn by old men of the Corps Saxonia Jena , whose colors he wore from 1943. He insisted 1945/46 in Jena the state examination and was 1946 in Jena to the Dr. med. PhD. With Nicolai Guleke and his successor Heinrich Kuntzen, he completed his training as a surgeon . In 1950 he married a doctor. In 1958 he left the German Democratic Republic with her and their two children . Via Marburg he came to Cologne University Hospital , where he completed his habilitation under Georg Heberer in 1965 . In Hospital Lindenthal he was chief physician of Traumatology . In 1984 he headed the conference of hand surgeons. He took an active part in the life of the corps student in the Rhineland. In 1985 he received the Band des Corps Saxonia Bonn with Wilhelm Föllmer , Gustav Drevs , Konrad Seige and Werner Usbeck . He was a close friend of his life with Seige. After retirement, he spent long retirement in Bergisch Gladbach .
