Wilhelm von Carlowitz

Wilhelm von Carlowitz (born July 12, 1944 in Falkenhain ) is a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

Wilhelm von Carlowitz visited the POS in Naumburg (Saale) . He graduated from high school at the church proseminar in Naumburg . Then he studied theology in East Berlin . In 1967 von Carlowitz moved to the Federal Republic, where he continued his business studies in Bonn and Cologne . In 1972 he graduated with a degree in business administration. A stay abroad followed in 1972 and 1973.

From 1973, von Carlowitz worked at Commerzbank on domestic and international assignments, including eight years in Brussels . From 1993 he was a member of the executive board of Commerzbank Sachsen. There he was responsible for medium- sized corporate customers , personnel and organization. He held the office until at least 2004. In 2001 Wilhelm von Carlowitz founded a family forestry company. From January 30, 1995 to August 2, 2006 von Carlowitz was Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Dresden.

Von Carlowitz is Protestant, married and has three sons. He is a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn and canon of the United Cathedral Donors of Naumburg, Merseburg and Zeitz.

Wilhelm von Carlowitz has been a member of the CDU since 1996. Between 1999 and 2001 he was a member of the Dresden district board.

On December 19, 2002, von Carlowitz joined the Saxon state parliament on behalf of the member of parliament Veronika Bellmann . There he was a member of the Committee for Building, Housing and Transport and the Committee for Agriculture, Food and Forestry. In the following fourth electoral term he was no longer represented in the state parliament.
