Wilhelm von Schlenther

Johann August Wilhelm Schlenther , from 1913 von Schlenther (born May 27, 1858 in Tilsit , East Prussia ; † April 21, 1924 at Gut Baubeln, Pogegen district , Memelland , East Prussia) was a landowner , royal Prussian district administrator and politician.

Life

family

Schlenther was raised to the Prussian nobility on February 5, 1913 in Königsberg (East Prussia) .

He married on May 24, 1888 at Gut Fresenburg (now part of Bad Oldesloe , Schleswig-Holstein ) Elisabeth de Boss (born September 25, 1866 at Gut Kluvensiek, Schleswig-Holstein; † after 1933 probably at Gut Baubeln). The daughter Hildegard and the two sons Heinrich (* 1893) and Peter-Wilhelm come from this marriage .

Career

During his studies in 1877 he became a member of the Leipzig fraternity Germania .

Schlenther was a royal Prussian Rittmeister d. Res. As well as landlord on Baubeln, Mickiten and Heinrichstal (1,000 hectares ), all in the Pogegen district. He was a royal Prussian secret councilor and district administrator of the Tilsit district . Politically he was active as a member of the Prussian manor house .
