Willi Rixen (* 1909 in Düren ; † 1968 ) was a German painter , draftsman , author and graphic artist .

Willi Rixen was born the son of a master builder . He attended the Cologne factory school and the Aachen factory school . Rixen created many works in his hometown, including the cityscape of Düren as a woodcut that was implemented using weaving technology and hangs in the Düren town hall . The woodcut of the Anna reliquary bust he created was poured onto all the new bells in the Anna Church . The advertising poster for the Annakirmes with the fireworks also comes from him. He designed the glass pictures for the city restaurant, in the forester's house in Rath , in the Mariawald Abbey , the Michaelskapelle in Vlatten and in Steinfeld Monastery . He called the design of his glass window over the entrance portal of today's Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Resurrection of St. Cyriakus in Niederau from 1968 "free composition" . He also made the designs for many weather vanes and weather cocks in the Düren district .

Willi-Rixen-Strasse in Niederau is named after him. He lived in this place.
