William Hoy

William Harry Hoy (born November 1955 ) is a film editor of Asian origin and the younger brother of the editor Maysie Hoy .

Life

Initially, William Hoy worked for a few years as an assistant editor, around 1979 with Quintett and 1985 Marie - A Mother in Fear . In the latter production he assisted film editor Neil Travis , and was then co-editor of No Way Out (1987) at his side .

With Commando Silent Assassins , Hoy was responsible for the film editing for the first time . Travis and Hoy's work crossed one last time on Dances With Wolves in 1990 , before they parted ways and Hoy cut blockbusters like The Man in the Iron Mask and I, Robot . Since 2006 he has worked on several films by director Zack Snyder : 300 , Watchmen - The Guardians and, most recently, Sucker Punch .

William Hoy is a member of the American Cinema Editors .
