William Willführ

William Willführ (born August 22, 1881 in Hanover , † September 23, 1964 in Goslar ) was a German politician (CDU). He was a deputy in the parliament of Lower Saxony .

Life

Willführ graduated from the Herschel School in Hanover. Then he learned the butcher's trade and went on the journeyman and traveling years that took him to many cities at home and abroad. In 1915 he took over his father's business, which he expanded into an important company in the industry. He joined the NSDAP on April 1, 1933, but by 1937 at the latest he had resigned or been expelled.

During the air raids on Hanover in World War II , the company was completely destroyed on March 25, 1945, including its residential property.

In the post-war period , Willführer returned to his profession and held numerous offices in economic organizations and associations. He was a longstanding member of the supervisory board of Volksbank Hannover . In addition, he was the regional guild master of the Lower Saxony and Bremen butchers' trade. He was also a member of the Hanover City Council. In the third electoral term he was from 1955 to 1959 a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and its senior president.

Willführ was the holder of the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class .
