Willie Botha

Willie Botha (actually Willem Christiaan Botha ; born March 31, 1912 in Petrusburg , Free State ; † June 14, 1967 ) was a South African middle-distance runner and sprinter .

At the British Empire Games in London in 1934 , he won silver over 880 yards in 1: 55.5 min (corresponds to 1: 54.8 min over 800 m ).

In 1936 he retired at the Olympic Games in Berlin over 800 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.
