Willy Mißmahl

Willy Missmahl (born October 11, 1885 in Riedlingen , † May 19, 1964 in Tübingen ) was a German surgeon and clinic director.

Life

Missmahl graduated from high school in Ulm in 1904 and studied medicine in Tübingen , Würzburg and Munich . In Tübingen he made an appointment with the Landsmannschaft Scotland , his father's corporation. And the Landsmannschaft Teutonia Würzburg later awarded him honorary membership. After 1909, he passed his medical state examination, he was in Munich in 1912 with a signature over-treatment and results of spina bifida to Dr. med. PhD .

In 1914 he was employed as senior physician in the reserve for Infantry Regiment No. 124 . From May 1915 he was active as a senior physician at the reserve hospital of the Katharinen Hospital Stuttgart . After working in his own practice, Missmahl became chief physician at the hospital in Riedlingen in 1921.

In World War II served as Missmahl Oberfeldarzt , as well as senior consultant of various reserve military hospitals. From 1945 he was finally in charge of the Riedlinger hospital until he retired as chief physician in 1954 for reasons of age. In 1949 he was Vice President of the Württemberg Medical Association .

family

Missmahl was the son of the doctor Wilhelm Missmahl. Since 1912 he was married to the dentist Maria Wild. Her son was the internist Hans-Peter Missmahl . The family is the namesake of a local recreation area. These park-like areas, the so-called Mißmahl'schen facilities , used to be their property. They are the largest, contiguous of the last Danube riparian forests in Baden-Württemberg. The site was gradually acquired by the city of Riedlingen in order to create a local recreation area.
