The Klosterkumbd wind farm is a wind farm located in the municipality of Klosterkumbd in the Hunsrück , Rhineland-Palatinate . It is located in a wooded area north of the village and is forecast to feed 39 million kWh of electrical energy into the power grid per year .
history
Project development for the wind farm began in 2008. After the approval in summer 2011, construction began immediately. After the wind turbines were built and put into operation, the wind farm was officially opened in May 2012. The wind farm was planned and built by the project developer ABO Wind , and in 2012 it was acquired by Mark-E . The three eastern wind turbines are located in the municipal forest of Klosterkumbd, the three western in the state forest .
technology
Six wind turbines of the type Repower 3.4M104 , each with a hub height of 128 meters and a nominal output of 3.4 MW , are used, the rotor diameter is 104 meters. The total height of the systems is 180 meters.
