Winfried Prize
The Winfried Prize of the Dr. H. G. Waider Foundation is an honor that has been awarded since 2001 for international understanding and peace. The prize is currently endowed with 10,000 euros. The award ceremony was carried out by the then Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Auxiliary Bishop Johannes Kapp . The prize, named after Winfried Bonifatius , is awarded in Fulda . The Englishman Boniface "ordered" the Frankish own churches and connected them with Rome and the churches of other countries. So the message of Boniface still forms the basis for a feeling of togetherness in a united Europe.
The prize is intended to honor outstanding individuals, groups or institutions who have made outstanding contributions to international and international youth and family aid projects in accordance with the purpose of the statutes. The winners must use the money again for charitable purposes.
