Winfried Baum

Winfried Baum (born April 5, 1936 in Dresden ) is a German graduate farmer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After completing general schooling, Baum attended the technical school for agriculture and garden in Dresden-Pillnitz from 1956 . He completed a degree in agricultural science in Berlin , which he completed in 1966 with a state examination. From 1962 to 1968 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Technical Insemination in Schönow / Bernau . In 1968 he started working as an animal breeding manager in Berlin. From 1969 to 1991 he was chairman of the agricultural production cooperative of Lohmen in the Sebnitz district . From 1977 to 1990 he was chairman of the agricultural science society in the Sebnitz district and a member of the society's Dresden district board . He was also a board member of the Sebnitz district farmers' association and the supervisory board of the Polenz agricultural association.

Baum belonged to the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany from 1954 to 1990 and joined it after its merger with the CDU. In 1990 he was one of the founding members of the CDU Saxony . In the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , Baum missed entry into the Saxon state parliament on list position 74 . After Dietrich Gregori left, however, he moved to the state parliament on November 11, 1991. In the 1994 state elections , he decided not to run again.
