coat of arms

Wisch coat of arms
Blazon : Divided by a green bar ; above:two fallen blue stars in silver ; below: three ascending blue tips in silver. "
Reasons for the coat of arms: The green bar symbolizes the place name Wisch = meadow. The stars are borrowed from the coat of arms of the Uffel family who owned land in the village. The three blue tips in silver form the coat of arms of the Marschalck von Bachtenbrock family , who have been wealthy here since the late Middle Ages.
