Witold Wawrzyczek (born May 22, 1973 in Rybnik , Poland ) is a former Polish football player . The 1.93 m tall left-back played in the first and second German Bundesliga for almost seven years .

From his youth club Odra Wodzisław Wawrzyczek moved in early 1994 to Ruch Chorzów in the first Polish league . In 1997 he came to Energie Cottbus in Germany , with whom he was promoted to the first Bundesliga in 2000. In 2002 Wawrzyczek went to Karlsruher SC , from where he returned to Poland after a year. There he played one season each for Szczakowianka Jaworzno and Cracovia Krakow . In 2005 he returned to Germany and played for Dynamo Dresden for six months , from where he moved to the Greek club GS Diagoras Rodos . In October 2006 he went from there to the Polish second division club GKS 1962 Jastrzębie , where he ended his career in 2012.

During his time in Germany, Wawrzyczek made 13 goalless Bundesliga appearances. He was more successful in the 2nd Bundesliga: He scored eleven goals in 106 games, ten of them for Cottbus and one time for Dresden. Wawrzyczek's greatest success was promotion to the first Bundesliga with Energie Cottbus in 2000.
