Wladislav Jurjewitsch Frolow ( Russian Владислав Юрьевич Фролов , scientific transliteration Vladislav Jur'evič Frolov ; born July 24, 1980 in Tambow ) is a Russian athlete who specializes in the 400-meter run .

In 2006 he became the Russian champion over 400 meters. He also won the silver medal in the 400-meter run at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 with a personal best of 45.09 s.

In 2007 he won the silver medal in the Russian 4 × 400 m relay at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham . The Russian team had only reached the goal in third place, but benefited from the disqualification of the first-placed German relay. The German Bastian Swillims had illegally hindered the Russian final runner Artjom Sergejenkow , whereupon the Russian federation successfully protested against the original rating.

He celebrated his supposedly greatest success so far in 2008 by winning the bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay race at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . However, in 2016, the relay participant Denis Alexejew was proven doping during follow-up tests and the relay was subsequently disqualified .

Wladislaw Frolow is 1.87 m tall and has a competition weight of 79 kg.
