Wojciech Siemion
Wojciech Siemion (born July 30, 1928 in Krzczonów , Lublin Voivodeship , Poland , † April 24, 2010 in Warsaw ) was a Polish actor .
Wojciech Siemion was born in the village of Krzczonów, where his father worked as a village school teacher. He made his theater debut in 1946 and studied law from 1947 to 1950 at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin . In 1951 he completed an acting degree at PWST in Warsaw and in the same year received his first small film role in Załoga from Jan Fethke . Two years later he played his second role in Przygoda w Mariensztacie, directed by Leonard Buczkowski . The film was the first Polish color film . Other important films in the course of his career were Zezowate szczęście (1960) by Andrzej Munk , Kierunek Berlin (1968) by Jerzy Passendorfer , Das promte Land (1974) by Andrzej Wajda and Przedwiośnie (2001) by Filip Bajon . He also starred in the popular Polish television series Wojna Domowa by Jerzy Gruza and Four Tank Soldiers and a Dog . He has also been a voice actor since 1958. His last job as a voice actor was the voice for the role of Carl Fredricksen in the Polish version of Above .
His theater career began as an acting student at the theater in Kalisz . After his training he got his first engagement at the Teatr Polski in Szczecin , but returned after a season to Warsaw, where he has been associated with several theaters since then. In 1972 he founded the Stara Prochownia theater in Warsaw, where he played and directed. Since 2002, this theater has been promoting young off-theater productions under the name Stara ProchOFFnia . He also worked as a teacher at the PWST in Warsaw. In the 1960s he performed as a cabaret artist in the ensembles STS and Pod Egidą .
On April 22, 2010 Wojciech Siemion suffered serious injuries in a car accident near Sochaczew , from which he died on April 24, 2010.
