Wojciech Rafał "Wojtek" Mazolewski (born March 27, 1976 in Gdansk ) is a Polish jazz bassist and composer. He is the leader of the band Pink Freud .

Live and act

Mazolewski grew up in Danzig. As a teenager he had active contact with the local yass scene, including through his older brother, Jerzy Mazzoll . He later founded his own bands Pink Freud and Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet. He is considered one of the most successful Polish jazz musicians of the younger generation. In the course of his career he has worked with, among others, Tim Berne , John Zorn , Tomasz Stańko , Mikołaj Trzaska , Lech Janerka , OSTR and Fisz .

Mazolewski plays both electric bass and double bass .
