Wolf In der Maur (born March 2, 1924 in Klagenfurt ; † March 17, 2005 in Vienna ) from the Tyrolean family of Barons In der Maur on Strelburg and Freyfelt was an Austrian journalist and editor .

Life

After the end of the Second World War, Wolf In der Maur worked from 1945 as a journalist, theater director and freelancer for the Klagenfurt broadcaster . From 1947 he was a correspondent for various Austrian and German daily newspapers. At the same time he published several industrial magazines.

From 1959 to 1961 In der Maur was editor-in-chief of the “ Wochenpresse ”. In 1962 he switched to the sister paper “ Die Presse ”, where he first became head of the service , later managing director and publisher. In 1974 In der Maur switched to ORF , where he became radio director under General Director Otto Oberhammer . Then, from 1979 to mid-1984, he was television director for FS 1 (now ORF 1).

In 1977 In der Maur founded the Austrian Journalists Club (ÖJC) together with Günther Nenning .

Wolf In der Maur died at the age of 82 after a long, serious illness.
