Wolf Weyrich

Wolf Carl Rudolf Weyrich (born July 23, 1941 in Brno ; † March 4, 2019 in Konstanz ) was a German chemist and university professor .

Life

After his expulsion from Moravia, Wolf Weyrich lived in Stolberg near Aachen, Braunschweig, Istanbul and Graz because of the teaching activities of his father, the mathematician Rudolf Weyrich . From 1959 to 1966 he studied chemistry at the TH Darmstadt. In 1966 he was a research assistant at the THD and was in 1971 when Alaric White to Dr.-Ing. PhD. In 1978 he completed his habilitation. Weyrich was a university lecturer in Darmstadt from 1971 to 1976, as well as a DFG and Heisenberg scholarship holder.

In 1980 he was offered a chair for physical chemistry at the University of Konstanz. The main areas of teaching and research were infrared spectroscopy, rotational isomerism and nuclear quadrupole resonance.
