Wolfersgrün Dam

Wolfersgrün is located in the Kirchberg granite area at an altitude of between 350 and 390 m in the valley of the Crinitzer water , a side stream of the Rödelbach between Lauterhofen and Niedercrinitz . Below the village, the Crinitzbach was dammed to form the small Wolfersgrün dam.

history

The Waldhufendorf Wolfersgrün was founded in the 13th century and belonged to the Wiesenburg Office from 1764 to 1843 and then to the Kirchberg Office. In 1856 Wolfersgrün came to the Kirchberg court office and in 1875 to the Zwickau administration , whose successor is the Zwickau district . On January 1, 1996 Wolfersgrün was incorporated into Kirchberg.

In earlier times the Pflockensteig, an old cloth-making trade route, ran through the town between Lengenfeld (Vogtland) and Kirchberg.

In the 1940s, plans were made to damm the Crinitzbach above the Quarksteine near Niedercrinitz into a dam to improve the drinking water supply in the Zwickau area . But the only thing that came about was the construction of the Wolfersgrün dam in Wolfersgrün.

religion

Wolfersgrün belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Hirschfeld .

traffic

The local road leads through Wolfersgrün through the Crinitz Valley from Crinitzberg to Niedercrinitz . The motorway feeder (central route) from Kirchberg to the Zwickau-West motorway junction (junction 10) of the A 72 runs over the lower part of the village . A further construction of the feeder in the opposite direction to Kirchberg is planned.
