The Crinitzer Wasser (also called Crinitzbach) is an approximately 14 km long, left tributary of the Rödelbach , which flows into the Zwickauer Mulde . It is located in the southern district of Zwickau in the Free State of Saxony .
course
The Crinitz water rises in the forest north of Rothenkirchen and flows further north through the Crinitz valley, which runs parallel to the Rödelbach . It passes the Crinitzberg districts of Herlagrün , Obercrinitz , Lauterhofen and the Kirchberg district of Wolfersgrün . To the north of Wolfersgrün, the stream was dammed in the mouth area of the Hirschfelder Water to form the Wolfersgrün dam. Then the Crinitzbach flows through the Hirschfeld district of Niedercrinitz and flows into the Rödelbach in the Kirchberg district of Cunersdorf .
Tributaries
Like its tributaries, the Crinitzer Wasser lies in the Kirchberg granite area . The course of the Stangengrüner Bach and Crinitzbach in a south-north direction parallel to the Rödelbach to the east and its tributary, the Giegengrüner Bach, is striking . Some tributaries are characterized by numerous source streams.
Right tributaries
- Lohbach (Niedercrinitz): The water rises northeast of Wolfersgrün , is dammed to the Filzteich (near Niedercrinitz) and flows south of Niedercrinitz into the Crinitzer Wasser.
Left tributaries
- Lohbach (Obercrinitz): The stream rises in a valley west of Obercrinitz with several arms and flows into the Crinitz water in Lauterhofen .
- Burkertsbach: The Burkertsbach has its source north of the Obercrinitzer Steffenhäuser . To the east of Stangengrün it is dammed to the Herrenteich . It flows into the Crinitzer Water at the southern end of Wolfersgrün .
- Hirschfelder Wasser: The Hirschfelder Wasser has two spring arms.
The western arm is the Irfersgrüner Bach , which rises between the A72 in the west and the Lengenfeld district of Irfersgrün in the east. In the center of Irfersgrün, the brook takes up the Lohbach (Irfersgrün) , which rises south of the village and which was dammed into the pond shortly before . The Irfersgrüner Bach flows further east to the confluence with the Stangengrüner Bach .
The southern arm is the Stangengrüner Bach . It has its source at the southern end of Stangengrün , flows through the entire place in a left parallel valley to the Crinitzer Wasser and Rödelbach .
To the southeast of Hirschfeld , Irfersgrüner and Stangengrüner Bach flow together and are now called Hirschfelder Wasser . This now runs south past Hirschfeld and flows north of Wolfersgrün in the Wolfersgrün dam into the Crinitzer Wasser.
- Voigtsbach: The Voigtsbach rises in Voigtsgrün, northwest of the Hirschfeld zoo . It flows north past Hirschfeld and flows like the Niedercrinitzer Lohbach south of Niedercrinitz into the Crinitzer Wasser.
history
In order to improve the drinking water supply in the Zwickau area, plans were made in the 1940s to dam the Crinitz water above the Quarksteine between Wolfersgrün and Niedercrinitz to form a dam. Of the plans, however, only one preliminary barrier was implemented, today's Wolfersgrün dam .
