history
The Waldhufendorf Lauterhofen was founded in the 13th century and until 1843 belonged partly to the offices of Zwickau and Wiesenburg and then to the office of Kirchberg. In 1856 the place came to the Kirchberg court office and in 1875 to the Zwickau administration , the successor of which is the Zwickau district . In 1912, the four courtyards in the Lauterholz district were changed from Hirschfeld to Lauterhofen. From July to December 1952 Lauterhofen briefly belonged to the Auerbach district in Vogtland and was then reassigned back to the Zwickau district. Lauterhofen has been a part of Obercrinitz since 1970. With the formation of the municipality of Crinitzberg in 1994, Obercrinitz and Lauterhofen became districts with equal rights.
Seal of the Church
A sheep with a flag can be seen in the middle of the Lauterhofen seal. The origin of the very old coat of arms is probably in the Bible: the sheep as a sacrificial lamb.
Religions
Lauterhofen belongs to the ev.-luth. Parish of St. Johannis in Obercrinitz.
traffic
The local road leads through Lauterhofen through the Crinitztal from Obercrinitz to Wolfersgrün and Niedercrinitz .
Industry and agriculture
Lauterhofen has retained the character of a farming village. Some of the hereditary estates in the village are evidence of this. In the north of Lauterhofen there is a large calf barn from the times of the LPG , which is still in use today. Until the 1970s, there was a concrete plant at the end of the village in the direction of Wolfersgrün. A forge has existed in Ort since 1952. Today it also offers services for agricultural and forestry equipment.
