Wolfgang Eisl

Wolfgang Eisl (born October 29, 1954 in Sankt Gilgen ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and tax advisor. Eisl was Deputy Governor in the Salzburg State Government from 2000 to 2004 .

education and profession

Eisl attended elementary school in Zinkenbach (today Abersee) between 1961 and 1965 and then moved to the secondary school in Strobl from 1965 to 1969 . As a result, he graduated from the commercial academy in Salzburg between 1969 and 1974 and passed his Matura there in 1974 . After his military service , which he performed in Salzburg between 1974 and 1975, he became an employee of the Sankt Gilgen tourist office in 1975. He then worked from 1976 to 1980 as an employee in various tax consultancy firms in Salzburg and passed the tax consultant examination himself in 1980, whereupon he opened a tax consultancy firm in Sankt Gilgen that same year. In 1981 he moved his law firm to Salzburg and worked there as a tax advisor until 2000. After the end of his activity as regional councilor, he became managing director of an auditing firm in Salzburg in 2004 and also became self-employed as a sworn auditor. He also became a member of the Supervisory Board of the Airport Company at Salzburg Airport .

Politics and functions

Eisl became involved as deputy chairman of the Austrian Economic Association in Flachgau in 1995 and became chairman of the Austrian Economic Association in St. Gilgen in 1995. He represented the ÖVP between 1999 and 2001 as a member of the municipal council of St. Gilgen and between 1990 and 2000 he chaired the control assembly (monitoring committee) of the Salzburg regional health insurance fund. From February 9, 2000 to April 28, 2004 he was Deputy Governor in the State Government of Schausberger II , succeeding Arno Gasteiger . After the ÖVP's defeat in the 2004 state elections , Eisl left the Salzburg state government.
