Wolfgang Kühle

Wolfgang Kühle (born December 7, 1920 in Göttingen ; † December 7, 2002 in Wetzlar ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1939, Wolfgang Kühle began studying law . After an interruption as an officer during the Second World War , he graduated with the first state examination in 1948 and the second state examination in 1952.

He worked as a legal advisor for the Hessische Berg- und Hüttenwerke AG in Wetzlar and from 1954 as a lawyer . From 1966 he was head of general administration at Buderus AG in Wetzlar.

politics

On September 1, 1938, at the age of 17, he was accepted into the NSDAP . Wolfgang Kühle was a member of the CDU and was active there in many board positions. Since 1969 he was chairman of the district association of the CDU Wetzlar and a member of the district committee of the CDU Central Hesse.

From 1965 to 1977 he was a city councilor for the city of Wetzlar. For the 31 months of the existence of the city of Lahn he was head of the city council.

From December 1, 1970 to November 30, 1982, Wolfgang Kühle was a member of the Hessian state parliament. There he was chairman of the interior committee.

In 1979 Wolfgang Kühle was a member of the Federal Assembly .

Other offices

Wolfgang Kühle was chairman of more than 20 non-profit associations and associations. He was chairman of the Wetzlar sports district, vice-president of the State Sports Association of Hesse, and a member of the Presidium of the Hessian Association of Cities. He called the Wetzlar Industrial Festival , today the Wetzlar Festival, into being.

Honors

In 1987 Wolfgang Kühle was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2001 he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Wetzlar. According to the city council resolution of September 15, 2004, the project was closed to name a street after him. In February 2005, a new street was set up together with the newly built complex of Forum Wetzlar and Mittelhessen-Arena , which is called Wolfgang-Kühle-Straße .
