Wolfgang Krüger (* 1940 in Berlin , † 27. March 1995 ) was a German CDU - politician .

Life

Wolfgang Krüger grew up in the former autonomous district of Kreuzberg and graduated after attending the elementary school training as a bookbinder . He made up his Abitur through the second educational path and then studied business administration . He then worked as a freelance journalist at RIAS , among others , and from 1975 to 1981 he was the managing director of a medium-sized company.

From 1981 to 1985 Krüger held the office of the District City Council in Kreuzberg, initially in the area of ​​construction and housing, later in the economic and finance department. Together with Brigitte Grothum , Curth Flatow and Hans Rosenthal , he founded the “Verein zur Rettung des Hebbel-Theaters e. V. ". From July 1985 to April 1989, Krüger served as Kreuzberg's district mayor . Associated with his name is, among other things, the first performance of the Berliner Jedermann-Festspiele in the church on Südstern under the direction of Brigitte Grothum, who he co-founded the association “Veranstaltungen in Berlin e. V. ”initiated.

1989 Krüger withdrew from politics and founded an advertising agency. Most recently he was chairman of the committee for culture and science in the “ Association of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists ”.
