Wolfgang Rupert Muhr
Wolfgang Rupert Muhr (born May 19, 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , writer and director .
Life
Wolfgang Rupert Muhr attended the drama school of the Volkstheater in Vienna. He worked as a theater actor on several stages in German-speaking countries, including the Vienna Volkstheater, the Stadttheater Bern , the Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Theater in der Josefstadt . He wrote plays, so Lemminge im Kopf , which was premiered in 1996 at the Dietheater Konzerthaus Wien , and the dramolet Dezibel decide , which was performed at the Burgtheater in 1999 . He is also the author of the radio plays Frau Karlova beget zu Tisch (2000) and Station Zebra (2001) produced by Ö1 . Muhr began studying screenwriting in 2000 and studying directing at the Vienna Film Academy in 2002 . He has worked as an actor in several film and television productions, while in 2006 as a film director he achieved his first notable success at several film festivals with Lonely at the Top - a short portrait of Diseuse and actress Lucy McEvil. The film was shown at the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival and at Vienna Independent Shorts . Also in 2006, together with Christian Haake , he visualized Maurice Ravel's song cycle Chansons madécasses for the Wiener Musikverein . Muhr completed his scriptwriting studies in 2007 and his directing studies at the Vienna Film Academy in 2014. His diploma film is Paranoid Point (2013). His first feature- length film Centaurus , which ranges between thriller and magic realism, premiered at the Diagonale film festival in Graz in 2015 .
