Wolfgang Schürle

Wolfgang Schürle (born May 14, 1941 in Blaubeuren ) was district administrator ( CDU ) of the Alb-Donau district from 1989 to 2005 .

From 1961 to 1966 Schürle studied law and political science at the universities of Munich and Freiburg im Breisgau , and passed his first state examination in 1966 . He received his doctorate in 1969 and passed the Second State Examination in 1971 . From 1971 to 1972 Schürle worked as a finance assessor in Freiburg im Breisgau. From 1972 to 1973 he worked as a lawyer in Stuttgart and Ulm. Schürle was since 1973 in the District Office operates Alb-Donau in various capacities, from 1975 as a social department. 1977 Schürle becomes first state official (deputy district administrator). From July 18, 1989 to July 17, 2005, Schürle was CDU member of the Alb-Donau district. In the election on May 5, 1997, he was confirmed in office by the district council .

Wolfgang Schürle is the initiator and editor / co-editor of the following cultural-historical and art-historical book series : Bibliotheca Suevica (since 2002), Documenta Suevica (since 2003), Alb and Danube Art and Culture (since 1990), Schwabenspiegel literature from the Neckar to Lake Constance 1000–1800 ( Part 1, 2003) and 1800–1950 (Part 2, 2006) together with seven reading books (Part 3).

In addition to his professional activity, Schürle worked on a voluntary basis as a member of the supervisory board and as chairman of the supervisory board of Donau-Iller-Nahverkehrsverbundgesellschaft (DING), as chairman of the supervisory board of Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) (1999–2005) and as chairman of the association Upper Swabian Electricity Works (OEW) .
