Wolfgang Schwierzke (born March 8, 1937 ) is a former German football player . The defensive player graduated in the debut season of the Bundesliga , 1963/64 , when SV Werder Bremen three Bundesliga games.

Career

The 20-year-old young talent Wolfgang Schwierzke came for the 1957/58 season from Cuxhavener SV from the Lower Saxony amateur league to the Holstein Kiel amateur team . After a year he belonged from the 1958/59 season to the league eleven of the "storks" in the football Oberliga Nord . He made his debut under coach Helmuth Johannsen on August 17, 1958 in a 3-1 home win against VfL Osnabrück in the league. On his debut, he played on the half- left in the World Cup system at that time . At the side of goalkeeper Henry Peper , Hans Peter Ehlers and Alfred Bornemann , he belonged with 28 missions and six goals in the tenth rank of the Kiel permanent line-up. He played a total of 79 games for Kiel from 1958 to 1961 and scored 16 goals. For the 1961/62 season, the previous Kiel coach Johannsen took over the position at 1. FC Saarbrücken and Schwierzke moved to Saarland. In the first season in the Oberliga Südwest , Johannsen and Schwierzke took third place with their new team. For the last year of the old first-class league era, 1962/63, center forward Dieter Krafczyk came from Kiel to 1. FC Saarbrücken. Schwierzke completed all 30 rounds and scored ten goals, Krafczyk scored 29 goals alongside the new winger Erich Maas . From 1961 to 1963 Schwierzke played 54 other league games in which he scored 14 goals.

At the start of the Bundesliga Schwierzke signed on with the Hanseatic team from SV Werder Bremen and Johannsen took over the coaching position at Eintracht Braunschweig. At Werder, under coach Willi Multhaup, he was unable to prevail against defenders Josef Piontek and Max Lorenz and played three games. In the first half of the season he was used in the two matches against Hamburger SV (4: 2) and Braunschweig (1: 1) and in the second half of the season on April 4, 1964 in the 0: 7 away defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.

After one season Schwierzke moved to Eintracht Trier and from then on played in the Regionalliga Südwest . He started with Eintracht on August 9, 1964 in front of 15,000 spectators with a 3-1 win against Bundesliga relegated 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 1964/65 round. At the end of the round he finished third with Trier at the side of teammates such as Josef Hehl (goalkeeper), Lothar Kleim , Erich Hermesdorf and Dieter Brozulat . He mainly formed the Trier defender couple with Wilhelm Haag . In total, he scored 12 goals for Eintracht in 115 games in Trier.
