Erich Hermesdorf (born November 12, 1944 ) is a former German soccer player . In the 1967/68 season, the midfielder played 23 games (1 goal) in the Bundesliga with Borussia Neunkirchen . Before and after that he had played a total of 259 league games and scored 53 goals in the then second -rate regional soccer league Southwest . He celebrated with Neunkirchen in 1967, 1971 and 1972 three times the championship in the Regionalliga Südwest and in 1967 the promotion to the Bundesliga.

Career

Hermesdorf's career began with the blue-white-blacks of Eintracht Trier in the Mosel Stadium . From 1963, the technician with combination skills played with Eintracht in the then second-class Regionalliga Südwest . Under coach Janos Gerdov he came in the debut round of the Regionalliga, 1963/64 , at the side of teammates like Lothar Kleim , Willi Haag , Horst Brand , Dieter Brozulat and Peter Scholtes (38-18) on 36 missions and scored, mostly on half left Used in the World Cup system at the time, two goals. In the following promotion round he completed eight games and scored two goals. The team from Neunkirchen prevailed against Schwarz-Weiß Essen , Arminia Hannover , Bayern Hof and Hertha BSC and made the leap into the Bundesliga . Hermesdorf made his Bundesliga debut on the first match day against 1. FC Kaiserslautern , in the 84th minute of the game he scored the next goal in the 2-1 success of the "Betzenbergelf". At the end of the season, Neunkirchen was in penultimate place in the table with 19:49 points and 33:93 goals and was relegated.

Hermesdorf played the following four years with Neunkirchen in the regional league, belonged to the championship teams of 1971 and 1972 and thus twice moved into the promotion round with the club from the Ellenfeldstadion with teammates such as Gerd Zewe and Jürgen Papies . The Bundesliga return with Borussia was no longer successful. After a total of 125 regional league appearances for Neunkirchen with 30 goals, he switched to league rivals 1. FC Saarbrücken in November 1972 , where he scored three goals in 17 games by the end of the round. In the 1973/74 season he won the runner-up with his new club behind Neunkirchen. In 24 league games he had scored six goals for the team of coach Herbert Binkert . As a substitute he came in the promotion round at the side of Egon Schmitt , Ernst and Heinz Traser again to three missions. A total of 26 games with four goals in the Bundesliga promotion round (1967, 1971, 1972, 1974) are noted for Hermesdorf.

For the 1974/75 season he was hired by ASC Dudweiler and ended his higher-class playing career. In later years he worked in the amateur field as a coach, including 2001/02 in the Bruchsal soccer district at FV 1912 Wiesental .
