Ludwig Lang (born February 9, 1946 ) is a former German football player . From 1966 to 1975, the striker played a total of 214 league games and scored 46 goals for Borussia Neunkirchen in the Southwest Football Regionalliga , the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga . In addition, there are 32 games in the Bundesliga promotion rounds in 1967, 1971, 1972 and 1974 with eight goals.

Career

The attacker Lang, who came from SV Borussia Spiesen, played with Borussia Neunkirchen in the regional league , the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga . In his debut year with the team from the Ellenfeldstadion in the second-rate Regionalliga Südwest, 1966/67, the newcomer immediately celebrated the championship in the southwest, to which he had contributed nine goals in 16 appearances. In the games in the Bundesliga promotion round against competitors from Schwarz-Weiß Essen, Arminia Hannover, Bayern Hof and Hertha BSC, the Saarlanders prevailed under coach Željko Čajkovski and returned to the Bundesliga. Lang had played all eight games and scored three goals alongside other players like Horst Kirsch , Peter Czernotzky , Günter Kuntz , Erich Leist , Dieter Schock , Wolfgang Gayer , Erich Hermesdorf and Hans Linsenmaier . After promotion, he completed 14 games in the 1967/68 season and scored four goals in the upper house of German football.

After the direct relegation, he remained connected to Neunkirchen and ran the next seasons for Borussia in the Regionalliga Südwest, including the premiere season 1974/75 in the 2nd Bundesliga. Lang achieved his best hit rate in 1970/71 with 15 goals in 29 league games, the renewed championship title and second place in the Bundesliga promotion round behind the promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf . At the home game on June 27, 1971 against Düsseldorf, the men led by Gerd Zewe , Heinz Histing , Heinz-Jürgen Henkes and Ludwig Lang managed a 2-2 draw. He had again played all eight group games and scored three goals. He celebrated two further Southwest Championships in the old second-rate regional league in 1972 and 1974.

In the first year of the 2nd Bundesliga, 1974/75, he finished 18th with Neunkirchen and thus descended with his club in the amateur class.
