Wolfgang Seegrün

Wolfgang Seegrün (* 1934 ) is a German historian and Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

As a pastor in Gelting , he studied history, church history and sociology in Kiel , where he received his doctorate in history in 1965 . In 1966 he became a pastor in Hilter . He was appointed lecturer for church history and diocese studies at the Osnabrück seminary in 1969. In 1972 he temporarily took over the archive of the Diocese of Osnabrück . After the archive and registry were separated in 1977 and the archive had its own rooms, he was appointed archive manager. In addition to these activities, Seegrün, who lives in Georgsmarienhütte , was also active as a part-time pastor in the Heilig-Geist-Gemeinde in Oesede . Here he was particularly involved in youth work and was President of the KAB .

He sits on the honorary advisory board of the Society for History and Regional Studies of Osnabrück . He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Görres Society .
