Wolfgang Walz

Wolfgang Walz (born April 25, 1968 ) is a German football referee .

Walz has been a DFB referee since 1998 and whistles for TSV Pfedelbach . Since the 2002/03 season he has been in charge of games in the 2nd Bundesliga . On May 15, 2012 he assisted Fifa referee Wolfgang Stark together with Mike Pickel in the turbulent relegation game between Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hertha BSC (16th in the Bundesliga ), in which Düsseldorf went 2-2 (first game 2-1) into the Bundesliga has risen.

Walz is a paramedic at a rescue station of the DRK (Kreisverband Hohenlohe eV) and lives in Pfedelbach.

For the 2015/2016 season, Walz coached an active team as a coach for the first time with the district division club SGM Niedernhall / Weißbach. Walz has also trained the DFB base in Schwäbisch Hall since 2013 . From the 2018/19 season, Walz will train VfL Mainhardt (Hohenlohe district league).
