Wolfram Schneider
Wolfram Schneider (born November 3, 1942 in Meerane ) is a German sculptor and graphic artist .
life and work
Schneider was trained as a precision mechanic from 1959 to 1962 and studied from 1975 to 1977 at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle an der Saale . From 1980 he worked as a steel sculptor and from 1982 to 1990 was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . In 1990 he took part with the sculptors Klaus Duschat , David Lee Thompson , Cornelia Weihe and Leonard Wübbena at the 3rd East Frisian Sculptor Symposium of Steel Sculptors in Wittmund . He mainly works with COR-TEN steel.
He lives and works in St. Egidien-Kuhschnappel in Saxony .
