Olga Conon ( Belarusian Вольга Анатольеўна Конан Wolha Anatoljeuna Konan , Russian Ольга Анатольевна Конон Olga Anatolevna Conon ; * 11. November 1989 in Brest , Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic , USSR ) is a badminton player who until 2009 for her native Belarus , 2009-2010 for Poland and started in October 2010 for Germany .

Career

She played in Germany for BV Gifhorn , with whom she was promoted to the first Bundesliga in the 2007/2008 season . She has won all of her games this season. For the 2009/2010 season she moved to the league competitor 1. BC Bischmisheim , with whom she won the German team championship and the European Cup.

At the badminton tournament at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , Olga Konon won the first round against Xing Aiying from Singapore - the current number 24 in the world - in two sets. In the round of 32, this result went against Maja Tvrdy from Slovenia . In the second round, Olga Konon then lost to the Chinese world number one and Xie Xingfang, who was number 1, with 0: 2 sets.

She extended her contract to 2017. At French International she was defeated by Beatriz Corrales in the final . At Denmark International , Olga won the women's singles competition. Olga Konon was also a member of the German team for the finals of the Sudirman Cup 2013 . She won the final in the women's singles at St. Petersburg White Nights against Ella Diehl . On May 2, 2015, Olga Konon and BC Bischmisheim became German team champions after a clear final win over BV Mühlheim 4-0. It was the first German championship again since 2010 and only the second for Olga.

She ended her international career in 2018.
