criticism
Colin Hüttner wrote for metal.de : “The many sing-along pieces always promise a party atmosphere and the driving rhythms of the Swedes also make the band's concerts an experience. The resulting atmosphere is captured well on 'World War Live - Battle Of The Baltic Sea' and you can get an idea of what the band's concerts are like. The audience is optimally integrated into the songs and the setlist is impressive, even if of course it doesn't suit everyone's taste and as a fan you miss some of your favorite songs. In addition to band classics, the main focus of the setlist is on the last two very successful albums ('The Art Of War', 'Coat Of Arms') by the Swedes. [...] The mood is very good throughout the concert, but culminates in the last two numbers' Primo Victoria 'and the' Metal Medley ', which can be understood as an indication that a few more old pieces, such as' Nuclear Attack 'or' Back In Control 'would not have been wrong.
[...] Since singer Joakim Bróden interacts a lot with the fans, it disturbs the live atmosphere and the flow of the album if one does not speak the Swedish language and does not understand what the singer is telling the fans. [...]
The bottom line is a live album that will undoubtedly meet the demands of the band and will also satisfy the band's fans. The atmosphere is captured well and the sound leaves nothing to be desired. 'World War Live - Battle Of The Baltic Sea' is in any case good evidence of the impact that SABATON has always had at their concerts and makes you want to go to the next concerts. "
