history

Neustett was in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Creglingen . In 1790 there were 31 households in the village. The landlords were the Brandenburg-Ansbach office of Tauberzell (19 properties) and the imperial city of Rothenburg (12 properties).

With the community edict (early 19th century) Neustett was assigned to the tax district of Tauberzell . A little later, the Neustett rural community was formed. It was subordinate to the regional court of Rothenburg in administration and jurisdiction . In 1932 the municipality name was officially changed from Neustetten to Neustett. The municipality had an area of 3,667 km². As part of the regional reform , Neustett was incorporated into Adelshofen on May 1, 1978.

According to JK Bundschuh, Bd. 3, Sp. 795, there were 28 households in Neustett in 1801, 11 of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg and 17 to the Herrieden office of Eichstatt . An obvious mistake, as Neustett is far from Herrieden.
