Oberamt Creglingen

The Oberamt Creglingen was one of the 15 administrative areas of the Principality of Ansbach . From 1791/92 the principality of Ansbach was administered by the Prussian state as Ansbach-Bayreuth . The Oberamt Creglingen was thus incorporated into the Uffenheim district .

location

The Oberamt Creglingen bordered in the west on Hohenlohe and Württemberg, in the east on the Oberamt Uffenheim and the imperial city of Rothenburg , in the south on Hohenlohe and the imperial city of Rothenburg and in the north on the Hochstift Würzburg .

structure

The Oberamt Creglingen was made up of the caste and city school authorities Creglingen , the Oberschultheißenamt Marktsteft , the administrators' office Reinsbronn and Ingolstadt, the Schultheißenamt Segnitz and the office Tauberzell.

In the Fraisch district of the Oberamt Creglingen there were 32 places, including 1 town, 1 market town, 11 parish villages , 4 church villages , 1 castle, 8 hamlets and 6 individual farms or mills. There were a total of 1608 subject families, 1198 were Ansbach and 410 were foreigners.
