Oberamt Colmberg

The Oberamt Colmberg was one of the 15 administrative areas of the Principality of Ansbach .

history

Colmberg – Leutershausen was originally an office of the burgraviate of Nuremberg , it was subsequently an office of the principality of Ansbach. The rule of Jochsberg finally fell to the Office of Colmberg in 1682.

Most recently, the sovereignty ( high court , lower court outside the Etter , church sovereignty , tax sovereignty, etc.) extended to an area that roughly corresponded to the regional court of Leutershausen . For the southern part of Gastenfelden Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst exercised the sovereignty in full. The places Binzwangen , Cadolzhofen , Oberhegenau , Stettberg and Unterhegenau belonged to the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Schultheißenamt Markt Bergel . Here the sovereignty extended to the lower court outside the Etter, the church and tax sovereignty. The high court was limited to the arrest of criminals who were then extradited to the Colmberg Vogtamt. The manors Eyerlohe , Rammersdorf and Wiedersbach belonged to the knight canton of Altmühl . The respective lords of the manors had similar powers as for the aforementioned places. The arrested offenders were to be extradited to the Leutershausen City Bailiwick Office.

Within the upper office there were places whose village and community rule was taken over by foreign rulers. Binzwangen, Dietenbronn and Oberhegenau had the Eichstättische Vogtamt Aurach as village lords, Eichholz , Gastenfelden and Morlitzhaben the Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürstische Amt Schillingsfürst , Unterbreitenau the imperial city Rothenburg and Lenzersdorf the administrative office Burgbernheim of the Juliusspital Würzburg . As village lords they could decide in lower court cases within the Etter.

There were also foreign masters in the manorial system of individual properties.

From 1791/92 the principality of Ansbach was administered by the Prussian state as Ansbach-Bayreuth . With that the Oberamt Colmberg went on in the Ansbach district .
