Leutershausen district court

The district court of Leutershausen was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1808 to 1879 and was based in Leutershausen in today's district of Ansbach . In 1808, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the district court of Leutershausen was established. This was added to the Rezatkreis .

The district court of Leutershausen bordered in the west on the district court Schillingsfürst , in the northwest on the district court Rothenburg , in the north on the district court Windsheim , in the east on the district court Ansbach , in the southeast on the district court Herrieden and in the south on the district court Feuchtwangen .

Tax districts

As part of the municipal edict in 1808, the regional court was divided into 20 tax districts:

Rural communities

In 1810 rural communities emerged , most of which were congruent with the tax districts. With the second community edict (1818), the rural communities received more powers. At the same time, some of the rural communities that had existed until then were split up, so that there were finally the following 34 rural communities:

  • Colmberg with Häslabronn and Kurzendorf;
  • Dornhausen with Kreuth;
  • Eckartsweiler with oak wood;
  • Egenhausen with Sichelbronn;
  • Erlach with Gutenhard, Schwand, Steinberg and Weihersmühle;
  • Erlbach with Hundshof, Saxony, Steinbächlein and Waizendorf;
  • Ermetzhof ;
  • Frommetsfelden ;

  • Gunzendorf with Aidenau, Neumühle and Steinach am Wald;

  • Schwabsroth with Lauterbach, Oberbreitenau, Oberndorf, Reinswinden and Unterbreitenau;

  • Company with Hölzleinsmühle;
  • Urphertshofen with street courtyard and Wessachhof;
  • Wiedersbach with a wooden mill;
  • Windelsbach with Gugelmühle.

Further development

On April 1, 1832, the following communities came from the Windsheim Regional Court to the Leutershausen Regional Court:

In 1840 the Leutershausen District Court was four square miles . There were 11,471 inhabitants, of whom 10,856 were Protestants, 203 Catholics and 412 Jews. There were 110 localities, including one town, two markets, 12 parish villages , 7 church villages , 15 villages , 46 hamlets and 27 deserted areas . There were a total of 36 parishes, including one town parish, two market parishes and 33 rural parishes .

In 1858 the communities of Brunst, Eckartsweiler, Erlach and Hagenau were handed over to the Schillingsfürst regional court .
