Froschmühle (colloquially: Froschmíl ) is a district of the city of Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach in the administrative district of Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Kümmelbach , formerly also called "Weiherbach" or "Mühlgraben", a left tributary of the Altmühl . This brook also feeds the Leutershauser Weiher, which are located immediately to the west of the village. The Schloßbuckfeld is about half a kilometer to the east . The district road AN 23 leads to Rammersdorf (0.2 km north) or Leutershausen (1 km south-west).

history

The mill is said to have a "very old age". However, it was first mentioned in a document in 1579 as "frog garbage". The place name means "To the mill on the frog water". According to a report by the Brandenburg-Ansbach municipal bailiff in Leutershausen from 1608, Froschmühle belonged to Winden . More information can be found only in a report from 1681. Here was noted that they took office Colmberg loans - and gültbar was into office Leutershausen vogt - and controllable and the Office Brunst gerichtsbar. The mill received eight fathoms of firewood annually from the caste office in Ansbach , for which it had to pay white money four times a year. Frog Mill was burned down during the Thirty Years War and had to be rebuilt. According to the Vetterschen Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732, the mill had to pay the tithe to St. Peter in Leutershausen. The Colmberg caste office remained the landlord of the mill until the end of the Old Kingdom . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Froschmühle was given the number 19 of the village of Winden when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Froschmühle was assigned to the Leutershausen tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community Mittelramstadt founded in 1810 . The frog mill also temporarily provided the community leader (1846/1856: Johann Georg Käfer). On January 1, 1972 Froschmühle was incorporated into Leutershausen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
