Place name interpretation

The place name is interpreted as "to the village of Lanzinc", where Lanzinc was probably the name of the founder of this settlement.

history

"Lentzi [n] gsdorf" was first mentioned in a document in 1368, when Konrad Abendar von Seckendorff and his wife Margaret sold their village Lenzersdorf to their cousin Johann von Seckendorff zu Jochsberg . A markgräflicher fief letter of 1423 called in "Lentzingsdorf" two goods and five Gütlein. For 1450 a fief book of the county of Oettingen shows eight estates in Lenzersdorf. The Lords of Seckendorff continue to own the fiefs. In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach office of Leutershausen from 1608 it says that the village consists of six teams (= subject families), all of which were vogt -, valid -, taxable and feasible to the Wolf Balthasar von Seckendorff zu Unterlaimbach . The 16-point report of 1681 states that the six teams belong to the sexes in Nuremberg and are interested in there; but the office of Leutershausen claimed the authority of the community and the shepherd's staff. In 1732 the village consisted of six farms that belonged to the Hessberg lordship ; there was also a community-owned shepherd's house. The place was parish after St. Peter in Leutershausen. The rulership of the village and commune as well as the bailiwick inner Etter was held by the von Heßberg, the bailiwick apart from Etter and the Fraisch belonged to the town bailiwick of Leutershausen. There was another change of manorial rule , because towards the end of the Old Kingdom the six estates of Lenzersdorf, namely a courtyard, two half courtyards, a quarter courtyard and two Köblergüter belonged to the Burgbernheim administration office of the Würzburg monastery ; the shepherd's house and the crushing house were owned by the community. The high jurisdiction remained unchanged at the margravial city bailiff Leutershausen. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the municipal edict, Lenzersdorf was assigned to the Jochsberg tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Jochsberg, founded in 1810 .

In 1829, Lenzersdorf provided Georg Michael Wiesinger as the mayor of the Jochsberg community.

Jochsberg and thus Lenzersdorf was incorporated into the city of Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
