Hundshof is a district of the city of Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach in the administrative district of Middle Franconia .

geography

To the west of the wasteland lies the birch field. About 0.2 kilometers to the north flows the Steinbach, which is a left tributary of the Erlbacher Mühlbach , which in turn is a right tributary of the Altmühl . The Kühberg rises around 0.75 kilometers to the north. A local road leads to the district road AN 4 (0.1 km south-east) between Saxony (2 km north-east) and Erlbach (0.3 km south).

Place name interpretation

With "dog" - combined place and field names can designate elevations (cf. Hunsrück , Hundsücken) or indicate something inferior. It is also conceivable that the name is derived from a stately hunting dog breed that may exist on the farm.

history

The wasteland was first mentioned by name in 1472 as "zum Hunthoff". In 1480 and 1579 the settlement was called "Hundshof [f]". The 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach office of Leutershausen from 1681 mentions the Hundshof and "still a mere team". The latter was a deserted Köblergut , which is also mentioned in the Vetterschen Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732: It was bought from the dog farmer in a dilapidated condition. The Hundshof was still subordinate to the Leutershausen District Bailiff and was parish after St. Peter in Leutershausen. Charges went to the local bailiwick office and also to the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office in Colmberg . The only thing the court had in common with Erlbach was the hat . Nothing about that changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the municipal edict, Hundshof was assigned to the Jochsberg tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community Erlbach, founded in 1810 . On January 1, 1972 Hundshof was incorporated into Leutershausen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
