Görchsheim

Görchsheim (colloquially: Gergsa ) is a district of the city of Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach in the administrative district of Middle Franconia .

geography

The hamlet is on the west bank of the Altmühl . To the south of the village is the Mönchsholz, approx. 1.25 km northeast of the Rauenberg ( 466  m above sea level ). A community road leads to State Road 2249 (0.4 km northeast) at Rauenbuch , which is opposite the town on the east bank of the Altmühl, or past Eyerlohe to the B 14 (3 km southeast) at Neunstetten . Another community road leads to Saxony (2 km northwest).

history

South of Görchsheim one probably was Latènezeit originating eye pearl found.

In 1367 the mill of "Gorisheim" fell to the Premonstratensian monastery in Sulz as a bequest from a Conrat Reuter . In 1387 the place name "Göresheim" appeared, probably with the meaning to the home of (settlement founder ?) Gerrich . In the valid book of the Sulz monastery from 1478, a miller and three goods are named as belonging to the monastery. In the 15th century, the place was involved in lengthy legal disputes with surrounding communities over grazing rights in the Brünst / Brunst . The 16-point reports of the Leutershausen office from 1608 and 1681 confirm the old ownership structure: All four teams (subject families), including a mill, were vogt -, valid and taxable according to Sulz. The bailiwick except etters exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff of Leutershausen. During the Thirty Years' War , Swedish riders invaded Görchsheim in 1633, "where they drove out the few remaining grains ."

Also in 1732 it was said of “Görigsheim” that the hamlet “including the mill” consists of four subjects of the Brandenburg-Ansbach monastery administration office of Sulz and a common shepherd's house. The decade had two-thirds of the Brandenburg-ansbachische Box Office Colmberg and one third to the chapter by Herrieden be given. The office of Sulz exercised local authority as well as the bailiwick inner Etters , the bailiwick except etters and the Fraisch lay with the Brandenburg-Ansbach town bailiwick of Leutershausen . Until the end of the Old Kingdom , these centuries-old conditions changed little: at last the hamlet consisted of a courtyard, three half-courtyards and a mill with a half-courtyard, all subordinate to the Sulz office; the community had a shepherd's house and a crushing hut for flax processing . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Görchsheim was assigned to the Wiedersbach tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community Rauenbuch, founded in 1810 .

On January 1, 1972, Görchsheim was incorporated into the city of Leutershausen with the simultaneously dissolved municipality of Rauenbuch as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

religion

Görchsheim belonged to the parish of St. Veit (Neunstetten) until the Reformation . After the introduction of the Protestant church order by the Margrave of Ansbach in the years after 1528, Görchsheim was incorporated into the Protestant parish of St. Peter (Leutershausen) . The inhabitants of the Roman Catholic denomination are still parish to St. Veit.
