history

According to the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach office of Leutershausen from 1608, there were eight teams (= subject families) in the village, seven of which were vogt , valid , taxable and tenable to the Ansbach monastery and one to the Colmberg office . In the 16-point report of 1681 nine teams were recorded, seven of which were subordinate to the Ansbach Abbey and one each to the Vogtamt Jochsberg and the Vogtamt Colmberg. In the Vetterschen Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732 it is said that the hamlet consists of one to the caste office Colmberg , one to the Vogtamt Jochsberg and only five subjects belonging to the Stiftsamt Ansbach; there was also a parish shepherd's house. The Bailiwick held every office over its subjects in Ettern ; the bailiwick apart from Ettern, the Fraisch and the community rulership were with the city bailiwick of Leutershausen . The Jochsberger Gut was listed in the margravial fief books of 1423, 1459 and 1544. At the end of the Old Kingdom there were eleven subjects in Höchstetten; a Köblergut belonged manorial to the box office Colmberg, three half yards, five Köbler goods and an empty house the pen Office Ansbach and a courtyard the Vogt office Jochsberg. The shepherd's house and the crushing house were communal property . The subjects were subject to the Leutershausen District Bailiwick by high court; the village and community rulership was exercised by the Ansbach Abbey. Each manor was responsible for their property in the lower court . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the municipal edict, Höchstetten was assigned to the Frommetsfelden tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Frommetsfelden, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Bieg . On July 1, 1972, Höchstetten was incorporated into Leutershausen as part of the regional reform .
