Bieg is a district of the Colmberg market in the district of Ansbach in the administrative district of Middle Franconia .

geography

The Kreuthbach, which is a right tributary of the Altmühl , flows through the village , and the Ödenbach flows into the Kreuthbach as the left and the Korachgraben as the right tributary. In the south is the courtyard , about a kilometer to the west are the Lachfeld and the hardwood .

A communal road leads to Frommetsfelden (1.5 km south) or to state road 2250 (1.4 km north), which passes Unterfelden (0.8 km east) to Colmberg and Geslau (3.2 km west) and Neusitz passes to Rothenburg . An agricultural traffic route leads to Dornhausen (2.3 km to the west).

history

From ancient times, Bieg belonged to the parish of Geslau and, like almost all places in the parish, as evidenced by the Colmberger Urbar from 1361/1364, had to perform the so-called Buch services, i.e. the Bieger farmers had the Fronhof to Buch am Wald several days a year to be available for work. In 1387 Arnold von Seckendorff zu Jochsberg owned goods in Bieg. The Buch rule was probably acquired in 1408 by the Nuremberg burgraves , so that the castle counts court Altenstatt-Colmberg in Bieg owned a whole and four half hubs and four fiefdoms , three of which were in one hand. At least since this time, Bieg belonged to the Frommetsfelden parish, which became Protestant in 1528 . The margravial Vogtamt Colmberg emerged as the legal successor to the burgraves and exercised the high and low courts as well as village and community rule in Bieg . According to the “ 16-point reports ” of the Principality of Ansbach , which were drawn up in 1608 and 1681, there were nine teams in Bieg (= subject families ), all of whom had the Colmberg caste office as landlord . At the end of the 18th century there were also nine subject families (six courtyards and three half-courtyards). In addition, there was the shepherd's house and the crushing house for flax processing as a community property .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

In 1806 Bieg came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, Bieg was assigned to the Frommetsfelden tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Frommetsfelden, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Bieg became an independent rural community to which Hainhof , Höchstetten , Hürbel , Pfetzendorf and Zweiflingen belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court Leutershausen and the financial administration of the Colmberg Rent Office . From 1862 to 1879 Bieg was administered by the district office of Ansbach , from 1880 by the district office of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed the district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Leutershausen until 1879, since 1880 district court Rothenburg ob der Tauber . The financial management was taken over in 1880 by Rentamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed Finanzamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1920 ). The municipality had an area of 9,041 km².

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Bieg was dissolved on July 1, 1972: Bieg was incorporated into Colmberg, Hürbel to Geslau and the other districts to Leutershausen .
