history

In 1339 Zweiflingen was mentioned in connection with the founding of the castle chapel at Jochsberg by Burkhard von Seckendorff ; the pastor of the parish of Neusitz , to which Jochsberg originally belonged, renounced his little tenth in Jochsberg and Zweiflingen. From then on, Zweiflingen belonged to the castle chaplaincy, later the parish of Jochsberg, which, according to a list of 1342, had five subjects of the Gumbertus monastery in Ansbach .

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach office of Leutershausen from 1681, Pfetzendorf and Zweiflingen are referred to as a community with a total of eleven teams (subject families). Zweiflingen had six teams from Brandenburg-Ansbach. One belonged to the Kastenamt Colmberg or Amt Leutershausen, five belonged to the Vogtamt Jochsberg . The Seckendorff family only owned Jochsberg until 1630, with interruptions. There was a parish shepherd's house. At the end of the Old Kingdom, the Colmberg caste office in Zweiflingen was under the control of a Köblergut, the Jochsberg Vogtamt had a farm and four Köbler estates, and the shepherd's house was owned by the community. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Zweiflingen was assigned to the Frommetsfelden tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Frommetsfelden, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Bieg . On July 1, 1972, Zweiflingen was incorporated into Leutershausen as part of the regional reform .
