history

The place can be clearly identified as the Simonsmühle for the first time in a document from the 15th century. At that time it belonged to the von Seckendorff zu Jochsberg family . It was listed in the 16-point reports of the Ansbach office in Leutershausen from 1608 and 1681. In the latter report, the Seckendorff manor Jochsberg had already been converted into the Ansbach Vogtamt Jochsberg . The mill was first mentioned by name in the Vetterschen Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732, also in 1790 in the description […] of the Principality of Brandenburg-Anspach by JB Fischer and in 1802 by Bundschuh. Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Simonsmühle received the number 1 of Erndorf when the house numbers were assigned . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Simonsmühle was assigned to the Jochsberg tax district formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community of Jochsberg, founded in 1810 . The Simonsmühle was only mentioned in the directories of 1818, 1820 and 1832. In 1818 7 people lived there. The property included around 5  hectares of arable land and 5.5 hectares of pasture land, which were spread over several parcels.
