The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681 8 teams are listed for Schwabsroth.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Schwabsroth (3 courtyards, 4 half courtyards, 3 Söldengütlein , 1 empty house ). The high court and the village and community rulership continued to exercise the Vogtamt Colmberg. All properties had the Colmberg caste office as landlord. In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). At that time there were 12 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

In 1806 Schwabsroth came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the Schwabsroth tax district was formed in 1808 , to which Lauterbach , Oberbreitenau , Oberndorf , Reinswinden and Unterbreitenau belonged. The rural community Schwabsroth was founded in 1810 and was congruent with the tax district. It was subject to the Leutershausen Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and to the Colmberg Rent Office for financial administration . From 1862 to 1879 Schwabsroth was administered by the district office of Ansbach , from 1880 by the district office of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed the district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Leutershausen until 1879, since 1880 district court Rothenburg ob der Tauber . The financial management was taken over in 1880 by Rentamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed Finanzamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1920 ). The municipality had an area of 14.351 km².
